Elevating Cassini Systems' Visibility in the Derivatives Market through Strategic PR

Cassini Systems, a FinTech company focused on the derivatives markets, engaged Moonlight IQ (MIQ) in January 2022, initially for a one-off project, which became an ongoing retainer in April 2022, with MIQ providing external support in public relations to Cassini's marketing department, driving greater visibility in the UK, US,and Asia.

Problems:

Cassini Systems needed to stand out from the competition and its marketing department needed strategic help with the workload. Specifically,it sought to gain media attention, garner event publicity, and focus more on award entries to solidify its value proposition.

Solution:

Working with the internal marketing department, our strategy was to create a clear message for its offering and position the company as the best solution for initial margin management through thought leadership with specialist press.

Cassini also benefited from MIQ’s ongoing strategic support and advice, adding to its content around events and holding media training calls. We use press releases to keep journalists, clients and prospects updated with Cassini’s developments and gain more organic coverage.

Results:

Thanks to our knowledge of financial PR and the financial sector, on boarding was a matter of days, not months. Our expertise meant that we quickly understood what Cassini did and its USPs and were able to start producing results almost immediately.

  • Cassini was shortlisted for or won 11 industry awards in the first 11 months of working together with MIQ’s help, including Global Capital, Waters Technology, Asia Capital Markets, FinTech 50, Commodity Trading, and UK FinTech awards.
  • Cassini was featured in Securities Finance Monitor, Global Risk Regulator and The Desk, among others.
  • Positioned the C-suite as thought leaders, leading to press reaching out for expert commentary from Cassini.
  • Arranged interviews for the CEO with Bloomberg and Coalition Greenwich at FIA Boca.

Conclusion:

Moonlight IQ has been nothing short of integral to the marketing activities of Cassini over the last year and a half. Given that I am a team of one, responsible for the entire company's global marketing endeavors, having a reliable, knowledgeable, and quick-to-act team is imperative. I am happy to say that the team at Moonlight is all of the above!
