We worked with Horizon as their outsourced corporate communications department for more than five years, totally reshaping their messaging.

Horizon is now an award-winning technology vendor providing the leading trading and deal capture technology to many tier-1 banks and most of the emerging derivatives and options exchanges, especially in Asia.

Cleartrade Exchange Singapore

Our work with this Singapore-based commodity and shipping exchange began at launch. The PR and social media campaigns focused not only on creating a clear profile for the exchange but positioning it as the leader in a market which for many years was dominated by the Baltic Exchange.

Our campaign contributed to Cleartrade Exchange being acquired by the Deutsche Börse Group.

Our role included:

  • Planning and preparation for the acquisition, during and after the acquisition.
  • Creating and executing a very successful social media strategy, achieving a significant following on Twitter and a membership of 2,500+ on the LinkedIn special interest group we created and managed.
  • Conducting interviews for the CEO and other executives around the world: in London and New York, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Alacra New York

Our first task was to create a completely new and fresh approach to the messaging and communications (particularly with the media) for this New York based company.

Alacra was a leader in the KYC, AML and corporate actions sector. We accentuated their USPs and positioned the founder and CEO as an extremely knowledgeable and approachable expert in the sector; he quickly became the ‘go-to’ person for journalists.

The head of marketing said that we had achieved more coverage in 2 years than they had seen in the previous 18. The company was acquired by Opus, a VC group.

Metamako Sydney

We worked with Metamako, an Australian start-up, from its launch in December 2013, creating visibility and a really strong profile in the global capital markets.

At the time of its acquisition by Arista (a listed US company) in September 2018, it had offices in London, New York, Chicago and Tokyo, along with the Sydney headquarters. It became well known as a market-leader in its field.

Because it is so technology focused, our campaign always focused on thought-leadership and high-level market issues, such as regulation (MiFID II), creating a level playing field in trading, etc., rather than the nuts and bolts of the devices.

Some highlights include:

  • Winning the Intelligent Technology award for Best Trading Infrastructure Monitoring Platform in June 2018
  • The CEO listed in Institutional Investor’s Global FinTech top 40.
  • Being named by Deloitte in the Top 10 fastest-growing Australian technology firms.
  • Interviews for the company’s principals in London, New York, Chicago, Singapore and Hong Kong have resulted in global coverage.
